Every kilt we make is crafted in-house by one of our skilled kiltmakers at The Kiltmakery. We never outsource our work, allowing us to guarantee the highest standards of quality, fit and finish.
Each kilt is traditionally hand-stitched using techniques that have been passed down through generations for well over 100 years. Unlike machine-made kilts, every pleat is individually shaped and sewn to create a kilt that moulds to your body, hangs beautifully and is built to last a lifetime. This traditional method takes time and skill, but the result is a kilt that not only looks exceptional but becomes more comfortable with every wear.

The Pleated Plaid - Designed by us and hand stitched by us
Unique to us we will make The Pleated Plaid to your measurements in your choice of tartan.
Based on the traditional Belted Plaid / Féileadh-mór we have created a pre-pleated adaption of this. This is far easier to wear that pleating the belted plaid yourself.
This is all hand stitched.
The Belted Plaid (Feileadh Mòr)
This is unsewn, 5 yards of double width cloth for you to construct your own Feileadh Mòr or Belted Plaid.
