Why learn with us

At the Kiltmakery we offer a more organic and natural way of teaching. We want this to be an amazing experience for all and we will all be there supporting you throughout, whether you are an experienced sewer or have never picked up a needle.  

We insist our tutors have at least 5 years experience in kiltmaking and are overseen by Nikki who has over 30 years experience, not only in kilt making but in the kilt and tartan industry as a whole.  We feel this is important as kilt making is a life learning craft, the more experience and knowledge, the better.

     

You will not be in a purpose built classroom away from any customers. You will learn in a working sewing room environment, meeting customers, watching and learning how we help our customers decide on the tartans and buy their kilts.  Even seeing how happy they are when they leave.  

We want the whole experience to be enjoyable.
