This is an old term that says you can be considered master of your craft after the following;

Apprenticeship

Time served

Journeyman, this means having worked for different people through the years in same craft to boost your own knowledge and experiance

Mastered your craft to the ultimate standard

lastly, passing on your knowledge to the next generation

There is no qualification in kiltmaking and no certificate.

It is a lifetime journey of passion and learning
